In Genesis 2:18, God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” The word “helper” does not mean servant or someone with less value. In the original Hebrew, this word is “Ezer,” which is also used to describe God as our helper in times of trouble (Psalm 33:20). This means that women were created to be strong, supportive, and capable partners in life, not just mothers. They are called to contribute in various ways to their families, communities, and churches.
4. Women Played Key Roles in Jesus’ Ministry
Jesus valued and honored women. He taught them, healed them, and allowed them to be part of His ministry. Mary Magdalene was the first person to see Jesus after His resurrection (John 20:16-18). The Samaritan woman at the well became an evangelist after her encounter with Jesus (John 4:28-30). Women followed and supported Jesus, proving that their role was not limited to having children but also to spreading the Gospel and making an impact in the Kingdom of God.
5. Women Are Called to Live with Purpose
God has a plan for every woman’s life. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” A woman’s purpose is not just in motherhood, but in fulfilling God’s calling in different areas. Some are called to be teachers, doctors, writers, pastors, and leaders. Others are called to serve their communities and make a difference in the world. Every woman has a unique purpose designed by God.
